Directors' Meeting

The annual Directors’ Meeting is exclusively dedicated to NEMO’s full members, the national museum organisations. The 2023 edition will be organised on Sunday 19 November in connection to NEMO's European Museum Conference in Lahti, Finland.

The NEMO Directors' Meeting presents an opportunity for directors of national museum organisations to exchange views with peers and to discuss trends and key developments in the European museum sector in an informal environment.

  • Who is it for? The meeting is only open for senior management of national museum organisations upon personal invitation.

The meeting takes place at the Lahti Museum of Visual Arts Malva and starts at 10:00 on Sunday 19 November.

One senior representative per NEMO full member organisation is welcome to join the meeting. If the director cannot participate, we ask you to please appoint a representative to join on behalf of the organisation.

New this year for our full members is a dedicated workshop on 20 November from 16:00-18:00 tailored to the interest and needs of national museum organisations. We will soon publish more information to the workshop “Pitching for a green museum sector”, which is open to all members of staff at national museum organisations and runs in parallel to the other workshop offers.

The public programme of the NEMO European Museum Conference starts from 14:00 on Sunday 19 November with tours followed by the opening reception. Please note that you need to register separately to the conference.
