Save the date! EU Presidency Trio Conference - Museums and Social Responsibility: Values revisited

Within the framework of Germany's presidency of the Council of the European Union, NEMO - the Network of European Museum Organisations and the German Museums Association will organise the first of three expert meetings on social responsibility. The first conference will take place online from 17-18 September 2020 and will focus on what social responsibility means for museums. Through their daily work, museums make a significant contribution to social responsibility.

From 17-18 September, we meet online to further discuss the core aspects of community involvement and development. Short lectures, panel discussions and workshops are dedicated to the following topics:

  • Community involvement
  • Education and culture
  • Employment creation and skills development
  • Social investment
  • Technology development and access issue

Join the conference to get actively involved, present your museum or organisation and make suggestions on how museums can be more active in the field of corporate social responsibility. The interactive conference platform will give you the opportunity to network and get to know the speakers and conference participants.

The conference series will be continued in April 2021 in Portugal and in September 2021 in Slovenia. With the conference series, we want to redefine and clarify the field for the museum landscape.
