The new platform Culture at COP27 gatherers actionable suggestions, tools, explainers and open-source assets. It aims at supporting arts, culture and heritage organisations to raise their voices about the critical issues being debated around and after COP27. Visit the page to learn more and explore:

Culture has long been lacking in COP contexts, but at COP26 in Glasgow last year the Climate Heritage Network advanced in making it part of the discussions and will add to that legacy in Egypt. NEMO is a member of the Climate Heritage Network and will support their continued work in connection with COP27 to promote arts, culture and heritage as invaluable resource to help communities take transformative climate action.
In addition, NEMO is organising a webinar to coincide with COP27. The NEMO Webinar translates the important topics discussed at COP27 to fit the museum sector and will be accompanied by suggestions of how museums can act for the environment. Henry McGhie, Curating Tomorrow, will suggest concrete actions museums can take to contribute to the Paris Agreement and in fighting climate change. NEMO Policy Officer Elizabeth Wilde will introduce NEMO's most recent work and research regarding museums and their status within the sustainable transition of Europe, including the main findings and recommendations resulting from our Europe-wide survey conducted earlier this year.
