It was part of the series of events organised within the European Cultural Heritage Summit "Sharing Heritage - Sharing Values" from 18-24 June 2018 in Berlin, Germany, with the aim of celebrating museums and European cultural heritage together with the general public as well as professionals.
The European Cultural Heritage Summit "Sharing Heritage – Sharing Values” represented the largest and most visible event organised in Europe within the EYCH2018. More than 1000 participants, among them high-level policy makers from national and European level, visited Berlin during the week of events, organised by different stakeholders of the European cultural heritage sector. The event A Museum Night out - Dance at the Museum represented the only event organised by the European museums sector.
Earlier on the same day, the free one day conference Cultural Heritage Communities and Audiences in Today’s Digital Environment was held in the Museum für Kommunikation Berlin. DJ Professor Pier Luigi Sacco, Special Adviser to the European Commission in the Field of Cultural Heritage, was also invited to the conference as a key note speaker.
